Established in 1949, the League now consists of teams from fourteen Golf Clubs, consisting of both coastal and inland courses. Covering Northumberland from north of Morpeth to Berwick-upon-Tweed, the North Northumberland Golf league is going from strength to strength with our array of competitions aimed at all level of golfers around the area. The main Scratch League is complimented well with the newly formed Members Handicap League, the Seniors League and the unique League Open Days, which are growing in strength and popularity. All of our clubs welcome visitors all year round and offer good quality golf over a range of different courses
About the North Northumberland Golf League
The North Northumberland Golf league is home to 15 golf clubs, whose club members can enjoy a range of competitions for all standards of golfer over the summer.
Scratch League
13 teams, in 1 league showcases the elite golfers from each club as they compete throughout the summer in the league and also the Glendale Trophy in a team matchplay format.
League Open Days
For any male member at one of the NNGL clubs, an individual stableford competition for both Net & Gross prizes as well as a team league throughout the season. Hosted at 9 of our clubs throughout the season
Jack Deeble Seniors League
For club seniors this inter club league has proved popular with its format and competitive nature.
Members League
Newly formed in 2022 this is another opportunity to represent your club in a team matchplay format. Aimed at the non scratch league golfers, it allows other golfers the opportunity to represent their club, and is complimented by the W T Bathgate Trophy knockout Competition.
